The practice was established in 1995 by John Beresford and Declan Dunne, both of whom have over twenty five years experience in the heavy industrial, water and power sectors. Since that time the practice has flourished and grown as a result of both the service provided and the reputation gained. The practice can offer both a great depth and width of experience across a variety of fields in both the building and civil engineering industries.
According to the nature of the scheme, we reinforce our capabilities by obtaining advice and input from our professional contacts in geotechnical engineering, process engineering, information technology, environmental engineering, public health engineering and other fields.
We pride ourselves that we offer a personal service and work closely with clients and other parties to satisfy the specific needs of each individual project. Every job is supervised by a partner and, we like to feel that we have a “large enough to cope” but “small enough to care” ethos. Our individual and flexible approach means that we provide appropriate services at extremely competitive prices and within tight time-scales.
We are familiar with working on multi-discipline schemes and understand the need to co-ordinate different specialisms and activities on today's complex and fast-moving projects. We are able to provide advice to other disciplines at any stage from feasibility & planning through to construction and post-contract.
We are also familiar with the demands of formal quality assurance and can develop project-specific plans and procedures to ensure that clients’ quality assurance requirements are met. Our experience and knowledge helps us to cater for the demands of the Construction Design and Management Regulations.
Where appropriate, we use the latest technological aids and methods to guarantee standards, reduce costs to clients and meet tight programme requirements. The advantages of modern IT developments have been incorporated into the daily office routine.
During the last few years we have developed a close working relationship with the Hambleton Partnership, a firm of civil and structural consulting engineers, who specialise mainly in commercial and industrial structures including schools, colleges and warehousing. This relationship has enabled us to expand our areas of expertise for the benefit of our clients.
